Man stopped from jumping into Lagos lagoon

An unidentified young man was stopped from jumping into the Lagos lagoon by the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) patrol officers.

The viral video was shared on Twitter by an LCC patrol female officer on Wednesday.

According to reports, the man wanted to commit suicide because of some personal issues.

In the video, the man was moved away from the bridge by the officers who pleaded with him not to end his life.

Other people at the scene could be heard begging him not to commit suicide, adding that “there was hope for the future.”

LCC thanked the patrol officers on duty for saving the man’s life.

“Thanks to the intervention of LCC patrol officers, a young man was saved from committing suicide on Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge,” the company posted on Twitter.
